My guest on April 1st will be Sid Rudich, former co-owner of the Silver Spur casino in Henderson, Nevada. Thanks to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Intelligence Bureau, Sid escaped a 1987 robbery attempt during which the robbers planned to kill him. But shortly after the foiled robbery Sid’s luck turned bad. He and his partner became the targets of a Gaming Control Board investigation in which they were accused of skimming from their casino. The casino license was pulled based on what Sid says were bogus charges. His battle with the state eventually led to bankruptcy and a nervous breakdown.
Sid is currently working on a manuscript that will detail his experiences. The working title is The Las Vegas Squeeze.
